Dear Potential Donor,

I am writing this letter on behalf of the numerous children who live in southwest Louisiana that have suffered from child abuse. B.A.A.K. of SWLA, was organized in 2009 with its sole purpose being to raise funds to help the unfortunately abused kids of our area.

We chose Harbour House, the only emergency shelter for kids in a five parish area, as the recipient of our efforts. Harbour House is a program of Educational and Treatment Council (ETC) and ETC, like so many other nonprofits, has experienced budget cuts which effect the amount of help that they can give to these children. This is our 9th year to help raise funds for Harbour House. 100% of all proceeds goes directly to the benefit of the kids with none of it being used for any administrative expenses.

We have emerged from a simple poker run to a full day of events this year on June 4th and that includes the poker run, jambalaya cook-off, a raffle for two tickets a Saints game, live and silent auctions along with an afternoon of live music. This year we be also hosting our 5th golf tournament on May 20th at Mallard Cove in an effort to expand our efforts to raise more monies and to get more of our citizens of SWLA involved.

I humbly ask that you also get involved by making a donation to help us reach this year's goal of $50,000.

Whether your donation is $20, $50, $100, $1000 or more, you can be assured that each and every penny of it will go directly for the kids needs. All checks should be made out to Harbour House and you will receive a donation receipt so that you can deduct your contribution on your taxes.
